A&B Overhead Doors was started in 1986 by David Adams and Robert Berauer — two guys who knew the work and built a reputation doing it right. We're not a franchise or a national chain. We're a family business in Shelbyville, and every job we take reflects on our name.
Today the company is in its second generation, run by Jeremy Adams and Justin Berauer. Same families. Same address. Same work.
IDEA Accredited Door Dealer
A&B Overhead Doors is accredited by the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA), an independent nonprofit formed in 1996 by the International Door Association and the Door and Access Systems Manufacturers Association.
IDEA accreditation isn't handed out. Dealer management has to complete a comprehensive study course, pass six written exams, carry proper insurance and licensing, and provide references from customers and business associates. Accredited dealers are also required to complete continuing education to maintain their credentials.
It means when we show up, we know what we're doing, we're properly insured, and we've been vetted by the industry's own standards organization.
